Blackrock Expert Services, the leading independent expert construction consultancy, today announces the acquisition of IT Group, the top independent provider of professional services for IT disputes, digital forensics and e-Disclosure. The combination will deliver high-quality expertise to clients and lawyers across construction and technology matters.

Blackrock Expert Services has a strong portfolio of high profile contracts and a distinguished track record of working on iconic and complex construction projects around the world. The company has advised on projects in 50 countries, with a combined total contract value of over £100bn.  

With technology taking an ever increasingly prominent role within all construction projects, and now with market-leading technology expertise in-house, this acquisition further enhances Blackrock‘s market-leading position to provide integrated consultancy services across the globe.  

In addition, the market for Technology related expert services is continuing its rapid growth. IT Group has experience across software licensing, IT project management, cyber, data theft and system design and specification disputes. It is also highly skilled in data forensics and data management and offers this service across a range of litigation sectors. IT Group has operated internationally working for many leading insurers and law firms in the UK, US, EMEA and the Far East. 

Sharing many clients and outstanding global reputations, both companies are delighted to be combining their extensive experience and expertise, and believe this transaction will allow them better integrate their service to their clients.
