IT Group is pleased to announce it has once again completed its ISO 9001 and 27001 recertification, and achieved an additional ISO 27701 certification, following an annual audit last week.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised quality management system (QMS) standard. The assessment required IT Group to demonstrate its commitment to continuous improvement and ability to operate and maintain a documented management process that is tailored to meet client requirements.

The exacting ISO 27001 certification also means IT Group operate, maintain and commit to continually improving information security management systems (ISMS). The certification is a statement of the capability to protect client information assets as well as internal assets. This includes a requirement for on-going assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the business.

ISO 27701 works as an extension of ISO 27001 and specifies the requirement and guidance for establishing implementing, maintaining and continually improving a Privacy Information Management System for privacy management within the context of the organisation.

Given that the business provides digital forensics, data recovery and data processing services, the ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 accreditations are at the heart of an ethos and commitment to the highest standards.
